Lust From Beyond Release Date Trailer Drops
After successfully being funded on Kickstarter last year in only 10 hours, Lust from Beyond, the new first-person, psychological horror game by Polish developer MovieGames, is set to release for PC on September 24th, 2020.
The new game is a fully standalone title but also a sequel to Lust for Darkness – the previous project by MovieGames. While it’s set in the same horrific and erotic universe, you are not required to have played the earlier entry.
In Lust from Beyond, you play as a member of an occult sect seeking to open the gates to Lusst’ghaa – an ancient Land of Ecstasy, inspired by the works of Lovecraft, Giger and Beksinski. The game follows Victor Holloway, an antiquarian, who is tormented by visions of a sinister land full of lechery and pain. To learn its secrets, he joins the Cult of Ecstasy, whose members seem to know the answers to his disturbing questions. Victor learns the cult’s life from within, getting lost in its blasphemous and sexual customs. Pleasures of this world are soon not enough. The cultists, following Victor’s visions, attempt to enter Lusst’ghaa – the Land of Ecstasy beyond the borders of our reality.
Some of the game’s features include:
– Bold erotic themes adapted into horror gameplay
– Gameplay from the point of view of an occult sect’s member
– Worlds inspired by the works of Lovecraft, Giger and Beksiński
– Exploring a graphically advanced environment, full of interactive items
– Running from, and even fighting otherworldly monsters!
– Rich sound and music design
– Ingenious puzzles
While our own Destiny found the very NSFW Lust for Darkness rather unfinished feeling and perhaps a little too reminiscent of titles like Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs back when she reviewed it, hopefully, Lust from Beyond will improve on the previous title’s shortcomings.
