DayZ Gets an Experimental Branch for Player Testing

If the timing is right, on Monday the 20th a batch of DayZ servers will begin supporting an experimental build of the game for players to jump into. When on these servers, players will be able to try out new fixes and additions to the game. The new build includes changes to items, inventory limits, player movement speed, and aiming adjustments. Shotguns (both standard and sawn-off), hacksaws, and spray paint (which can be used to paint the Mosin rifle), berry picking, and an entire coastal settlement are being added to the game. DayZ version 0.31.114343 can be opted into through Steam’s beta branch.

Visit the official DayZ forums for the full list of additions and fixes. To see a few videos of all the interesting encounters you can have in the game, check out this post by our own CJ Melendez.
