Silent Hill: Townfall is less than two weeks away from launch, and Konami has even more surprises planned ahead of the release. Recently, the studio confirmed a collaboration with legendary British comics publisher 2000 AD to create an original comic story.
Konami has confirmed that the comic is inspired by its upcoming Silent Hill release. It explores a prequel story set in St. Amelia and is named Silent Hill: Townfall – The Dock House. Screen Burn Interactive’s own Jon McKellan wrote the comic, with artwork by David Roach (Hard Choices, Dungeons & Dragons).
According to the official press release, The Dock House offers an additional perspective on the isolated island community of St. Amelia, Scotland, expanding the terrifying world and atmosphere of Silent Hill: Townfall. However, it will preserve the game’s mysteries that await players.
McKellan said he’s excited to explore the story and let readers experience a slice of the world they’ve written, as well as how it connects to the game.
It’s incredibly exciting to expand the world of SILENT HILL: Townfall with a new short story, and a personal milestone for me as a writer to get a chance to contribute to an issue. It feels especially fitting for a game set in the UK to feature in a UK national treasure like 2000 AD, and watching David bring the words to life has been a joy.
The Dock House is available from September 16 in the UK, followed by a US release on September 30. Fans around the world can also read the issue digitally through the 2000 AD Webstore and app.
