New screenshots of the The Vanishing of Ethan Carter released

Today recently founded indie studio We Are The Astronauts revealed further details on their first project titled The Vanishing of Ethan Carter. The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is a first person horror game where you assume the role of Paul Prospero. Paul is an occult detective with the ability to see the final moments of anyone that’s been murdered. In the game you will be looking into the disappearance of a boy named Ethan Carter.

Only a few vague details have been released about the game so far, but it should be noted that the developers are industry veterans and ex-People Can Fly (Bulletstorm, Painkiller series) studio members. So they certainly know how to make “AAA” games, but what about small independent horror games? I Guess we’ll see how it turns out. Right now The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is only going to be available on the PC and hopefully next generation consoles.
