Capcom Inexplicably Drops Dino Crisis 1&2 OSTs On Steam

After not acknowledging the series for years (the last time being a Regina character in the now-defunct Puzzle Fighter Mobile), this is an unbelievably welcome surprise. Dino Crisis, what could be called Resident Evil‘s sister franchise, has been left in a long-dormant state with the last game having released all the way back in 2003, has received a smidgeon of love once again! Out of nowhere, Capcom has seen fit to drop several of their classic game scores on Steam, including the complete Okami score, Devil May Cry 5‘s Vergil’s Rebirth Sound Selection, and… Dino Crisis 1 and 2‘s complete OSTs.

I’m hopeful that this could be a lead-in to something bigger, but odds are probably against it as Capcom hasn’t made any attempt at preserving their PS1 era of games as of late, and a rumored Dino Crisis remake was killed internally years ago. Then again, things can always change — the massive success of the two Resident Evil remakes (and the absolutely happening rumored Resident Evil 4 remake on the way), Capcom may reconsider in the future. Only time will tell, but at least in the meantime, we can groove out on some sweet tunes while we wait. You can grab the scores here and here. No love for Dino Crisis 3, but also, eh.
