Cronos: The New Dawn’s Lazarus DLC Gets December Release Date

Bloober Team, the studio behind the Silent Hill 2 remake and Layers of Fear, has announced the release date for Lazarus, the upcoming expansion for Cronos: The New Dawn.

The DLC will launch on December 3 for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC, via Steam, priced at $9.99. It’s also coming to Nintendo Switch 2, but not until the first quarter of 2027.

Along with the announcement, the studio has released a new story trailer, showing some of the dangers we’ll face. On top of this, we get to see new weapons, abilities, and enemies. Lazarus will expand the world of the main game. However, instead of continuing the narrative, it’ll take us back in time to uncover some of its mysteries.

The chase is on

Cronos: Lazarus: someone in a futuristic-looking spacesuit stands tall in a dark room bathed in an ominous red light.

In Cronos: Lazarus, we take on the role of the Pathfinder, an elite agent of the Collective, tasked with discovering the events that led to his transformation into the Warden. We’ll also learn more about how this mysterious organization works and the consequences of going against it.

Although it’ll keep the familiar elements of survival horror, such as resource management and a tense atmosphere, Bloober Team promises a faster and more aggressive combat system that’ll require players to make quick decisions.

To survive, we’ll have new tools, including a teleportation ability that’ll allow us to change positions, as well as a decoy that can distract enemies while making us temporarily invisible. We’ll also be able to use the Gladius, a new weapon that’s faster and deadlier than the dagger from The New Dawn.

However, it won’t be easy, as a relentless tracking unit from the Collective will chase us throughout, trying to stop us from completing a resurrection the organization wants to keep hidden.
