Contagion, one of my favorite multiplayer horror games (not that there’s many), has left Steam Early Access and officially launched. Today, the game has received a 1.7GB update with numerous tweaks and changes to bring the game out of beta and to a full release. Contagion is also temporarily being sold for $14.99, the price it was in Early Access. Set to be sold at $19.99 from here on out, the discount is presumably due to Valve not yet updating the game’s price and Early Access status as the developer had requested. Contagion‘s SDK will be released on Sunday, giving modders the tools to create new content for the game.
If you’re looking for a quality multiplayer zombie game on Steam, Contagion might be for you. I purchased Contagion on a sale some time ago and have enjoyed my time with it. Environments are surprisingly detailed, zombies are ferocious, and combat can be very exciting when put up against other players. Check it out.
