New Alien: Isolation screenshots released

Creative Assembly have released a small batch of screenshots from the upcoming Alien: Isolation, and they do their job well. The shots show us a motion tracker in action, (perhaps a pre-Aliens version?) some tools, and, of course, the alien. The shot that I enjoy the most is the one of the computer console and calendar on the wall. Nothing much going on, but I’m totally stoked to see they have a good eye for the “70’s vision of the future” that the original Alien film had.

I am remaining skeptical, though. After all, these are only screenshots and they’re meant to look nice. Creative’s Assembly’s previous releases have taken some flack and after Aliens: Colonial Marines, I’m just not ready to jump head first into another Alien game. Creative Assembly has yet to quell any rumors about the ratio of enemy soldiers/androids we’ll be facing, compared to the alien.

That being said, I am looking forward to this game a lot and I’m really hoping it can blow my socks off. I wish the developers luck!
