T.W.I.R.L. is another exciting indie title inspired by P.T and childhood trauma, announced by developers Genie Boy Games. The game won’t tell the story directly, and instead, players will have to piece it together to fully understand the horror.
You will play as a 9-year-old living in his childhood home. It’s 3 at night, and everyone else is asleep, but you are awake, and you’re keeping up with something strange called “T.W.I.R.L.”
Nobody knows what that means, and even the game hides it from the players at the start.
As you leave your room to explore the house, things start to feel unsettling, as the player has been carrying a deep secret since childhood. The house he’s been living in for a long time starts to feel psychological, and unknowingly, your actions are tied to something you either don’t remember or don’t fully understand.
The title tells its story through memories, and it’s more about facing the trauma you experienced as a child and the acceptance you have been avoiding for a while.
Though T.W.I.R.L. is set to release later this year, we don’t have an exact release date yet. However, a free demo is planned, allowing players to experience ttis psychological horror before its full launch.
