Tokyo Dark, an anime-style psychological horror set in Tokyo’s seedy underworld, has released on Steam to overwhelmingly positive player reviews. Players take on the role of Detective Ito as she investigates the disappearance of her partner. Things quickly turn strange, leaving Ito questioning her past and her own sanity. A system that ranks player’s actions on professionalism, sanity, investigation, and neurosis changes the way other characters interact with Ito. These rankings also factor into the game’s eleven endings. Dedicated players will find the New Game+ offering particularly helpful, as it places players at important story branches to work towards a different ending, cutting back on the time invested to reach all eleven endings of the game.
Tokyo Dark is on sale for $16.19 until September 14th to celebrate its release for Windows on Steam.
