The 7th Guest was released over three decades ago and became an iconic title of its time. It stood out for its impressive use of CD-ROM technology, being one of the first games to truly take advantage of it in a groundbreaking way.
Now, many years later, the title is making a return with a remake. The official announcement came last month, when developer Vertigo Games confirmed the remake of The 7th Guest. We now also have a confirmed release date, with the remake launching on June 4th for PC, Xbox, and PS5, while a Nintendo Switch 2 version is also planned.
The title offers a compelling story where six people are invited to a mansion. All the people who have been invited have very dark pasts and were invited there by a strange toy maker named Henry Stauf. Strange things are happening at the mansion as the guests are forced to solve puzzles, and the mansion seems to be watching and controlling everything.
There’s also a mystery around the seventh guest, a missing child named Tad, who is somehow connected to everything. For players who enjoy mind-bending puzzles, haunting exploration, and a chilling story, The 7th Guest Remake is worth playing.
