UK-based developer Wales Interactive just announced a new Early Access release date for Sker Ritual, the round-based co-op FPS and spiritual successor to Maid of Sker. In the sequel, you can play solo or up to 4 players online to survive the supernatural onslaught of the “Quiet Ones.”
The Early Access release was initially set for October 13th, 2022, but according to the devs, testing went so well, they decided to release it a week early on Thursday, October 6th.

Wales Interactive explained their reasoning for the updated release date, stating:
We understand delays are inevitable in game development but we think there’s been just a little too much this year so we have made the decision to move the Early Access release date of Sker Ritual to the 6th of October (10 am PT / 6 pm BST).
With a highly successful testing period and exhibition at EGX London 2022, the team believes that Sker Ritual is ready now and we can’t wait for everyone to explore this new title in the Sker Universe. ICYMI, there is a tonne of content to come over the next 6 months with every Episode release, which we revealed in our Roadmap.
You can view the game’s Roadmap below to see what the developers have planned for the future.
The earlier release date will also coincide with the launch of the Sker Collectors bundle which includes Maid of Sker & Sker Ritual. This will be a “Complete the Set” bundle, so anyone who already owns Maid of Sker will get double the discount savings.
