Silent Hill HD Collection gets a pair of new screen shots; September/October release date

Resident Evil fans aren’t the only ones to have a lot to be happy about. Silent Hill fans also have a lot to look forward to. First off you got Vatra’s upcoming Silent Hill: Downpour that aims to give fans the current-gen Silent Hill entry they’ve been waiting for. Then, to appeal to those desiring the classics, we got Silent Hill HD Collection coming up which compiles both Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3. Then we have Book of Memories to look forward to which aims to introduce multiplayer to the series. Finally, of course, you have the upcoming Silent Hill Revelation 3D film.

But let’s focus on the HD Collection. We still haven’t received an official numerical release date but thanks to the just-released fact sheet for the game (which you can read below) we can now expect the title to hit Playstation 3 owners sometimes between September and October. To complement this new revelation we now have two new screens to lock our eyes onto. And yes, the HD visuals in this collection definitely seem to enhance the game, giving it a much darker look. Silent Hill 2 follows the sad story of James Sunderland as he woefully enters the sleepy town by a

him to the asylum of another world. The fight against the truth that his wife has died, James must escape

form of living monsters within the haze that is Silent Hill.
Serving as a sequel to the original Silent Hill game, Silent Hill 3 centers on the forces of the demonic cult
that spreads the insanity of the otherworld through Claudia, a cult member attempting to bring Harry
Mason’s daughter, Heather, into Silent Hill. With a subplot and themes involving the loss of innocence and
childhood, a web of intrigue is spun by Claudia with intentions to birth a new god.
