Bokeh Game Studio, founded by Silent Hill creator Keiichiro Toyama, is seemingly working on another horror game. The studio’s debut, Slitterhead, didn’t perform particularly well and while there are no official sales figures, it was reported to have sold fewer than 10k copies on PS5 in Japan.
Although it wasn’t a hit, it seems Toyama wants to take another shot at the genre, as Bokeh Game Studio is hiring motion capture performers for its next project. As reported by MP1st, the casting sheet lists several characters, including River, Dean, Lyra, Hazel, Becca, Dena, Emma, and Mara.
It should be noted that the game has yet to be officially announced, so things can change. The descriptions cover mature themes, including drug use and trafficking, violence, abuse, grief, and sex work, with most of the characters seemingly set to undergo some form of transformation.
Although the current descriptions share several similarities with Slitterhead, it’s somewhat surprising to see the studio exploring similar themes again, considering that game’s reception. Since the developer hasn’t disclosed anything about the project, it’s best to wait for an announcement.
