‘The Keeper’s Diary: A Biohazard Story’ RE Fan Film Gets Official Teaser

The Keeper's Diary
A short teaser trailer for the upcoming The Keeper’s Diary: A Biohazard Story, a Resident Evil fan film, was shown at this year’s Horror Game Awards.

The fan project, written and directed by Andrew Saullo, will be released in 2024. It is inspired by the original Resident Evil (1996) and the 2002 Remake. The story centers around a diary entry in the mansion. The teaser shows a typewriter with the iconic “itchy, tasty” line. It follows a researcher dealing with a viral outbreak in an underground research facility.

While short, the trailer has high production quality and looks very promising. Besides the “itchy, tasty” memo, we catch a glimpse of Jill Valentine (Gracie Madsen), an Umbrella researcher (Frank Scalabrino), and a dog.

Some fun connections to the original game include contributions from Ward E. Sexton, who said the words “Resident Evil” when you began a new game; voice acting by Pablo Kunz, the original game’s Albert Wesker; and Charlie Kraslavsky, the live-action Chris Redfield in the original’s cutscenes. The film’s score will be composed by Duane C. Merritt.

The Keeper’s Diary will be released free of charge on the Residence of Evil YouTube channel.
