Last Year: The Nightmare Haunts PC this Month, Consoles in 2019

Elastic Games’ Last Year: The Nightmare will soon haunt Windows PC when it launches exclusively through Discord on December 18, 2018 — and a few months later on Steam. Console owners can expect the game to hit in 2019.

Today’s press release reveals that the game will ship for $29.99 USD and will feature an all-star cast of voice actors from popular games and television shows — Melissa Hutchison (TellTale’s The Walking Dead), Zeno Robinson (Metal Gear Survive), Michael Johnston (Teen Wolf), Erica Lindbeck (Spider-Man), Noshir Dalal (Red Dead Redemption 2), Elias Toufexis (Assassin’s Creed Odyssey), Ray Chase (Final Fantasy XV), and Jon Olson (World of Warcraft). The cast of characters includes the five teenagers and the three killers.

Last Year: The Nightmare is an asymmetrical multiplayer horror game where five teens need to escape a map while a killer is on the prowl. It’s very promising, as I noted in my preview a few weeks ago. The production value is high, allowing for layered and varied gameplay mechanics, lots of amusing dialogue, and fantastic visuals. It’s a prime contender for the top multiplayer horror game following Dead by Daylight and Friday the 13th.
