Evil Inside VR Coming to PSVR2 and Meta Quest 3 This May

Fans of VR horror won’t have to wait much longer, as Evil Inside VR is officially set to launch on May 7, 2026, for PSVR2 and Meta Quest 3.

What makes this release especially interesting is that it is not being treated as a simple VR port, but rather as a full rebuild of the 2021 psychological horror title, redesigned from the ground up specifically for virtual reality.

The developers, JanduSoft and Bowl of Tentacles, have reworked several parts of the original experience to better suit VR, including the puzzles and narrative structure, which have been redesigned to enable more naturally immersive interaction.

On the technical side, the game includes a fully revamped sound system aimed at creating a more oppressive atmosphere, along with updated lighting designed to keep tension high throughout the experience.

Another major improvement comes from the control system, The controls have been rebuilt for VR, with support for both sitting and standing play styles, allowing for more natural and precise interaction.

Features:

  • More than just an adaptation: Entire sections have been redesigned and new elements introduced to offer a fully unique and renewed experience-even for those who played the original.
  • Full VR support: Play standing or seated, with total, natural, and precise interaction.
  • Improved lighting and sound: A darker and more realistic atmosphere paired with an immersive, disturbing soundscape.
  • Redesigned puzzles: Built from scratch for full interaction and tailored to true VR gameplay.
  • Truly immersive terror: fear is not only seen and heard, but felt.

Evil Inside VR is set to be released this May with a price of $14.99.
