Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut and other games now available on Steam and GOG

My laptop and I are the best of friends, but I can’t deny that there are some interesting system-sellers on consoles that I would love to play. For a long time, one of those titles was Deadly Premonition, the quirky horror/adventure game by Rising Star Games that quickly grew a fanbase upon its release in 2010. That problem has now been solved…

The Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut has just unlocked on Steam and is available for $25 (currently discounted by 10%). If you happen to be from Europe, though, then you are better getting the game on GOG.com, where it’s also available for $25, but doesn’t change the price based on region. The game also includes Achievements and Steam Trading Cards for those interested in pursuing those.

Outlast has also found its way to GOG today and will cost you $20. However, along with a general Halloween sale, GOG will offer the game at a 33% discount for the next three days. Meanwhile on Steam, stuff is a whole lot busier, with two Alone in the Dark releases; The New Nightmare for $7 and the 2008 remake for $10.

Also noteworthy is The Typing of The Dead: Overkill, an educational horror game based on House of the Dead. Being able to type fast is an important skill, but why waste your time with going to special classes when you can also boot up this game and kill zombies by typing at them. It will cost you $20, but right now it’s on sale for $10.
