Silent Hill: Townfall

Silent Hill: Townfall is just a month away from launch, and Konami is ensuring strong marketing for the title. Recently, the team confirmed that they will be at Gamescom and release a new trailer for the game.

A week before the event, they released an over 18-minute gameplay trailer for Silent Hill: Townfall, offering an extended look at the title’s gameplay. The latest trailer offers an even better look at the thrilling visuals and how our protagonist, Simon, will explore the foggy island of St. Amelia as he tries to make things better.

In addition to showcasing the atmosphere, the trailer focuses heavily on the game’s exploration. A core part of the experience is CRTV, a portable monitor and radio transceiver that serves as both a navigational compass and a tactical survival device. The trailer also gives us a glimpse at the game’s combat.

Lastly, the latest trailer highlights the importance of sound design, which plays a crucial role in building tension through electromagnetic distortions and metallic sounds, without relying heavily on series veteran Akira Yamaoka.

Silent Hill: Townfall is set to release on September 24 on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
