Cronos: Lazarus Announced as DLC for Cronos: The New Dawn

Earlier this week, Cronos: Lazarus’ cover art and some images were leaked online, and they seemed to point to a weekend reveal. In the end, that leak turned out to be true, as Bloober Team has officially announced the story DLC Cronos: Lazarus for Cronos: The New Dawn.

This DLC shapes a new story with the Warden, a different main character, along with gameplay that’s faster and more aggressive than the base game.

Coming this fall, Cronos: Lazarus will take players back to the wastelands of New Dawn. This time, we will control a once loyal Pathfinder who turns into the Warden from the base game.

The mission will not be easy. Players will have to awaken a lost Essence, while also watching out for a deadly hunter made to track them down and kill them.

One of the most interesting parts of Cronos: Lazarus is the potential change of pace compared to the original game. The base experience focused more on “precision and picking your battles,” while the DLC will allegedly let players feel what it means to be one of the Collective’s “elite” agents.

On the gameplay side, one of the new features of the DLC is the chance to leave a decoy behind to confuse enemies. Players will also be able to become invisible for a short time. These abilities, along with more movement and combat tools, should add more tactical choices.

Cronos: Lazarus will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
