Silent Hill: Downpour has been delayed

Konami Europe has announced that Silent Hill: Downpour has been delayed; the winter release is no more. Konami will be releasing the game in the first quarter of 2012 in Europe. We have reached out to Konami US to see if this delay applies to North America as well.

Numerous retailers have given placeholder dates ranging from January to March. No official date was ever given. All we had to go on was a possible October date. A Winter release was also mentioned. Many fans including myself speculated that the game would be available at the end of this month, but that may no longer be the case.

Hopefully we are given a reason for the delay soon. I personally can’t wait to get my hands back on Downpour. If the delay is to further polish the game then I can wait. The Fall is already crowded with major game releases, so perhaps this is a release tactic. Either way, I hope to get more details on this delay soon.
