Nemesis is in Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City

We’re almost there! We just have one more week to go and Inserted Evil concludes with what may be some sort of big reward for fans who have been participating since the beginning of this viral campaign. But let’s try to solve this week’s clue (#8) first before starting to think about next week’s.

Clue #8 is now live over at Inserted Evil, and as you can imagine, it’s another head-scratcher. But as you know, some people are really blessed with the ability to get down and dirty and crack these riddles. So, you know, maybe paying a visit to some Resident Evil forums or a simple Google search can help you solve it, or lead you in the right direction, at least. (I’m ashamed to admit that I haven’t solved it yet, but that may be due to something called Batman: Arkham City.)

This is a special clue, though. Not only because you have a chance to win Vector’s mask, but also because it’s brought forth a reveal of another classic Resident Evil character, Nemesis. Yes, you read that right, Nemesis will be in Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. The first thing that came out of this week’s clue pertaining to Nemesis is a document from an ex-Umbrella employee, in which he talks about the development of the classic BOW. Then we have a video showing Nemesis’ awakening in an European Umbrella facility. And I don’t know about you, but Nemesis looks so adorable in HD!

You can click here for the video and click here for the document. Also, check out how Nemesis is going to look like in the screen-cap below!

Seeing as how this is set at the same time as RE2 and 3… I’m not that surprised to learn that Nemesis is in, although this is still news to my ears, cos he wasn’t included in any of the two Outbreak games. I can bet he’ll prove to be a royal pain in the butt, as he constantly chases you, although you may be in luck there, cos he only wants the STARS squad.

Has Jill not been confirmed for the game yet then? Because even if they haven’t doesn’t this kind of confirm it anyway considering when Jill was in Raccoon city Nemesis spent almost all of his time chasing her down…?

  • Grace Saunders

No, she’s not been confirmed yet, but don’t rule her out. She could still be in. I think that her being in Revelations too is no coincidence.

  • Very happy about this. He looks more like the movie version–thicker head.

It’s good to see him back, but I hate the fact he looks like the movie version rather than his original self. I was also never wild about the terminator-esque POV they gave him in APOCALYPSE: he’s a living organism, not a robot. That said, it’ll be fun seeing how he might interact with the T-103: will they be enemies or partners?

Yes very nice, but while reading the document and watching the video curiousity struck me. The Nemesis tyrant were looking at in the video is number coded 0003. Because the one that chased and hunted Jill in RE3 was a coded 02. Could this one be one of missing 2 that have yet to be to shown and explained from past game documents? Either way, this one will pose a challenge when facing him.

Adorable? How? lol Anyways having Nemesis in it would be so badass, maybe thyen Jill and Carlos are in OPC too. Good thing is that Nmi won’t pay much attentions to us playing since he is only after the STARS.

  • Steven

he wants S.T.A.R.S will give him S.T.A.R.S

  • i think we are only gonna see small scenes of the nemesis. maybe they might show how brad saw the nemesis and we’re gonna see him running a lot on the game lol

Nemesis was an awesome baddie, who actually had to command fear. I think his cult status remains as strong as ever, too.
