Guillermo del Toro on Silent Hills’ Cancellation: “Makes no f**king sense”

I know, I know – another Silent Hills cancellations report that only serves to remind you about the travesty that is this game’s cancellation, I feel you, but once again, as someone outside of the ostensive NDA Konami has placed on Hideo Kojima and others involved with the project, Guillermo del Toro has spoken out.

In an interview with Bloody Disgusting, the film director shared some of his, Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions ideas for the game. According to del Toro,  a sense of “panic” was what they were truly going for.

“We were hoping to actually create some sort of panic with some of the devices we were talking about and it is really a shame that it’s not happening,” said del Toro. He then went on to say the following in regard to the game’s cancellation. “When you ask about how things operate, that makes no fucking sense at all that that game is not happening.”

Bloody Disgusting will be posting more of their interview with del Toro later today. Keep an eye out for that. Maybe we’ll hear if he and Kojima have considered crowdfunding.
