Goro and Jade confirmed for upcoming Mortal Kombat, potential 360 exclusive kombatant?

It may only be me, but I’m much more excited about this new Mortal Kombat game than I am about next month’s Marvel vs. Capcom 3. It’s just something about Mortal Kombat’s brutal style that attracts me on a higher level, and it’s also probably because I grew up playing the early games in the franchise. Whatever the case may be, it has been leaked that the recent issue of GameInformer has revealed two new kombatants: Goro and Jade.

And we have scans too, thanks to Playfront. Although really blurry, it’s pretty easy to make out both characters in these scans. The magazine also has some details for both characters. Jade is set to take on an appearance that is a mix between her Mortal Kombat: Deception and her Ultimate Mortal Kombat III appearance. Goro, on the other hand, will be just like you remember him, and his lair will be brought back, complete with hanging bodies! One thing to note is that it isn’t exactly made clear if Goro will in fact be a playable character, or if he’ll just serve as a boss.

And now on to the 360. While the game is a multi-platform release, the ps3 is getting away with an exclusive of their own: Kratos. So this leaves 360 owners to question: What is the 360’s exclusive character going to be? The answer is…not known at the moment. But Ed Boon does at least state that there are plans to potentially add more characters via DLC so, anything is possible! Marcus Fenix, nuff’ said.
