Retro Review: Resident Evil [Video]
Following Halloween, we will be celebrating Rely on Horror’s 10th Anniversary, and I wanted to take
a moment to thank each and every one of you for reading and sticking with us throughout the
years. I joined on in 2011 as an artist doing a fan comic, and now it’s become something of a
dream job, allowing me the chance to meet creators and performers I couldn’t have imagined
I’d have the chance to. I rely on Rely on Horror, and Rely on Horror relies on you.
Thank you for reading, and here’s to another 10 years!
Happy Halloween, everyone! To celebrate the spookiest day of the year, we decided to take a trip back in time to the origins of survival horror and have a look at the original Resident Evil.
Released on the PlayStation in 1996, this survival horror classic ushered in a new genre and set the benchmark for how scary and atmospheric video games can be.
So sit back, grab your favourite creepy beverage, and let’s go back to the Spencer Mansion and re-live the horrors within its walls.
