You have to give it to Devolver Digital. These guys have a sense of humor that goes beyond what you see from other game publishers. Goofy trailers are one thing, but crossover content like Saint’s Row IV‘s Penetrator weapon being free to those that own both games goes the extra mile and gives fans some fun stuff to play with. But Devolver Digital won’t stop there. Recently the publisher has announced a collaboration between independent developers Flying Wild Hog and RuneStorm. You might know RuneStorm by the Steam Greenlight game Viscera Cleanup Detail. See where we’re getting at? Yeah, they’re doing it.
The two developers are combining worlds and bringing a Viscera Cleanup Detail minigame to Shadow Warrior. The game’s first level, after experiencing Wang’s bloody wrath, will be converted into a cleanup mission where a janitor has to come in and mop up blood, pick up and dispose of body parts, and complain when he tracks blood or spills buckets of gore unintentionally.
