Until Dawn 2 Reveals “Choice & Consequence” Trailer

Until Dawn 2: An overhead shot of a woman performing a ritual on a stone plinth.

Earlier this summer, Until Dawn 2 was revealed, more than ten years after the original dropped onto our collective PS4s. What made the first game interesting – aside from featuring a young Rami Malek – was its choice-based take on slasher horror. To that end, Sony has released a new trailer, which shows the return of choices in the follow-up.

Titled “Choice & Consequence,” the latest teaser gives us a flavour of what to expect in Until Dawn 2. Much like the announcement trailer, we get a glimpse of the characters and story, along with the tough choices you’ll need to make to survive. Do you sacrifice the rooster or slash a palm instead, for example.

The story follows the team at Dead True, a paranormal channel staging fake goings on. When an encounter with “supernatural survivor Yoona leads them to Akishima Island,” the team must endure the horrors that await.

Although the characters from the first game are not present, we do see the return of Dr. Alan J. Hill, voiced by Peter Stormare. Alongside him, Tanner Moore (Cobra Kai),  Janina Gavankar (Alan Wake 2), and Sarah Catherine Hook (The White Lotus) will be joining the cast.

Until Dawn 2 is scheduled to release on January 28, 2027, exclusively for the PlayStation 5. Pre-orders will be live from September 10, according to Sony. Check out the “Choice & Consequence” video below, and follow us on Facebook for more horror gaming updates.
