Fans of Until Dawn can rejoice, as State of Play has revealed the next entry, Until Dawn 2, one of the biggest surprises of the event. More than ten years later, the series returns with a new sequel for PlayStation 5. PlayStation confirmed that the game will arrive on their console next year in 2027.
Although Until Dawn Remake came out not long ago, Until Dawn 2 will not continue the story of the first game. It will feature a new story, new main characters, and a new setting, making it a completely separate story.
In addition, the game is being made by Firesprite, not Supermassive. It follows a group of ghost hunters who run a paranormal channel called “Dead True.” Even with new characters, the teen drama and player choices will still remain important.

The official description of the game reads as follows:
Having just signed a deal with a big TV network, the crew gets shipped off to an abandoned tropical island for their first fully funded episode. At first, it’s all sun, sand, secrets… plus some very not-safe-for-the-workplace drama as their complicated relationships bubble to the surface.
Of course, there’s more to this beautiful island than meets the eye. Beneath this blissful exterior, hide dreadful and heartbreaking secrets – centuries old and hungry for vengeance… and our crew have landed right in the middle of it.
Chasing likes might have brought them here, but survival quickly becomes the only metric that counts. Will you help them escape to tell the world their story, or will they become just another haunted legend, claimed by the island?
For now, not much has been revealed about the game, but as we get closer to its release, we’ll make sure to keep you updated here at Rely on Horror.
