Silent Hill f May Be Coming to Last-Gen Consoles

The previous generation of consoles has lasted longer than expected, with a significant number of players still using them. In late 2025, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch are still active and important for many bigger game releases.

These systems still boast a lot of players, and if companies can release games on them, they will. This seems to be the case with Silent Hill f, the new title from Konami’s acclaimed horror series, which will possibly release on older consoles.

The official Silent Hill f website updated the list of platforms today, and interestingly, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch are now included among them. There’s also mention of Switch 2. While it’s logical to assume that the upcoming Nintendo console has a better chance of receiving the game, the previous generation of systems shouldn’t be ruled out.

Recently, Konami announced that Silent Hill f sold over 1 million copies, with the overall franchise reaching 13 million units sold . For a long-running horror series, that’s impressive — especially considering that before its recent revival, the entire series had only sold around 9 million copies over two decades.

This renewed success could encourage Konami to expand to other platforms. It’s worth noting that the Resident Evil 4 Remake was also released on PS4.

The transition between console generations has been unusual compared to the past. The pandemic slowed down the life cycle of PS5 and Xbox Series, and even Nintendo took longer than expected to release the Switch 2.

The PS4 and Xbox One still have millions of active players, so offering a title like Silent Hill f could be a smart business move for Konami.
