Silent Hill Downpour and HD Collection getting patched
It looks like Konami has heard our cries. Both Silent Hill Downpour and the Silent Hill HD Collection have patches in the works that will release within the coming weeks for both console platforms.
Framerate issues in both games will be addressed as well as the autosaving issue in Downpour. The Silent Hill HD Collection patch will also correct lip-synching issues that the first PS3 patch didn’t really address too well.
This is fantastic news for Silent Hill fans that may have enjoyed the games, but performance issues got in the way. I didn’t have much trouble with Downpour at first, so it didn’t really bother me. But the issues became much more prevalent during my second playthrough. The HD Collection is playable on Xbox but suffers from the weirdest issues: I can’t even use the infinite SMG without slowing my console to a crawl. But hopefully that will all be in the past; Now is the time to rejoice!
