It would appear that a plea for the public’s financial help from Precursor Games at the beginning of summer has fallen on deaf ears. Back in May, Precursor Games stated that if Shadow of the Eternals‘ $750,000 Kickstarter goal was not reached, the game would likely not be completed.
Well, the Kickstarter goal was not met, having not even met half of its total goal.
A blog post on the Kickstarter page thanked pretty much everyone who had anything to do with the game, and offered a hopeful message: they’re not giving up.
How exactly the game is hoping to scrape together funding right now isn’t clear. It’s disappointing that Precursor Games and Dennis Dyack can’t seem to catch a break, but here’s hoping that the Eternal Darkness series will have a chance to see the light of day.
