Resident Evil Veronica was recently announced during Summer Games Fest. Following the news, the remake has already been wishlisted by over two million players in just two months, showing how much gamers have been waiting for the title, despite no release date being confirmed yet.
However, while many were expecting the game to be present at this year’s Gamescom, set to take place later this month, fans may be in for a let down. One of the most reliable Resident Evil leakers, Dusk Golem, recently said they’d heard neither Veronica or the Requiem DLC will be present at the event. Others appear to be reiterating the same thing.
(1/2) I do not know Capcom’s marketing plans, but I have been hearing in the grapevine lately that Resident Evil Veronica nor Requiem DLC are really going to be publicly present there. Veronica is in a crucial crunch period that’ll determine when its release date is right now, https://t.co/TWNUk1sSQc

German YouTuber, Screenfire Germany, released a new video discussing the chances of a new Resident Evil Veronica trailer being revealed during the show. He says the chances are close to none and after contacting several journalists who will be in attendance, apparently none have a press appointment for the title.
He also stated that there are no plans for “hands-on play.”
Based on this, the YouTuber believes the game will therefore not be present at Gamescom 2026. While this doesn’t necessarily confirm the rumors, the lack of press appointments or a hands-on session certainly makes a showing less likely.
