The entirety of Resident Evil: Revelations 2 has been released this week. And with the game’s official release comes a much anticipated and necessary slew of patches for the game’s PC version, which launched with a few performance related problems that affected the game’s framerate and overall fun factor.
In our review for the game, I wrote that the PC version is hard to recommend due to performance issues, but since then Capcom has released three Steam updates for the game. Patch 2.0 has added ResidentEvil.net support while the following two updates addressed performance problems, added optimization tweaks, and fixed game crashes.
I have yet to test the two performance related patches myself, but I’m glad to see some swifty post-release support. Maybe now I can go work on my Raid Mode level.
