Welp, in case you were unsure of whether or not Resident Evil: 5 Gold Edition was indeed coming to Steam after last week’s ratings post, it’s time to rest easy. Achievements for Gold Edition have appeared on Steam recently, solidifying the game’s release on the platform. Mentions of the Lost in Nightmares DLC confirm that the PC version of the game will finally receive the once console exclusive DLC.
There’s no word whether or not current owners of Resident Evil 5 will receive a free upgrade to Gold Edition or if they’ll have to pay for the upgrade, but given the contents age, let’s hope for something reasonable. Let’s also hope that all of these things over the last two weeks means the game’s transition to Steam will happen soon.
