BECROWNED was announced two years ago as an indie psychological survival horror game developed by 13th Street Studio and published by Top Hat Studios. While the title was planned to release earlier this year, the developers have now confirmed that players will have to wait a little longer before getting their hands on the game.
During the Horror Game Awards Halloween Showcase, the developers confirmed that BECROWNED is now targeting a Q1 2027 release window. Along with the release window, the team also confirmed that the game, which was originally planned for PC via Steam, will now launch on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Top Hat Studios has also released a new trailer announcing the updated release window and console versions, offering a much darker look at the game. In BECROWNED, players take on the role of Richard Torrance, a strong-willed man who believes he can control his life and get whatever he wants.
Despite his confidence, Richard struggles to find happiness. To escape his suffering, he must face terrifying creatures and make decisions that could affect his relationships with other characters. His choices will influence the events of the story and can lead to different endings.
