Like they did for the Wii U before it launched, Nintendo has revealed that they’re working with dozens of third party developers to create content for their upcoming home (and handheld hybrid) console, Nintendo Switch. Capcom is one of those third parties that will be developing games for the new platform. But Resident Evil won’t be part of their provided content.
In an interview with Express Online, series producer Masachika Kawata said, “I’m looking forward to the possibilities of the system itself, but we have no plans at the moment regarding Resident Evil on Switch.”
The Wii U didn’t get an exclusive Resident Evil title, so this isn’t really all that surprising. But I think I hear Resident Evil 4 shaking and squealing with excitement about another potential platform to land on! Maybe. I mean, another port for that game wouldn’t hurt, right?
