Pulsebreaker Announced, a Horror Game Inspired by PS1 Classics Like Resident Evil and Fear Effect

There are many horror games inspired by Resident Evil, and new ones continue to emerge even today. One recent addition to this list is an indie game that feels like it comes straight from the 1990s, as if it were made for the PS1.

Indie developer Anthony David Valles has announced Pulsebreaker, a survival horror game that draws heavy inspiration not only from Resident Evil but also from Fear Effect.

The game’s Steam description reads:

Pulsebreaker is a classic survival horror game. Explore environments, collect resources, and fight zombies. Manage your inventory, solve light puzzles, and survive with limited supplies. Includes melee and ranged combat. Single-player only.

The game features PS1-style graphics that make it feel like it could have been released on the original PlayStation over twenty five years ago.

At this time, Pulsebreaker doesn’t have a confirmed release date, but it is expected to be exclusive to PC. The developer suggests that anyone who is interested should add it to their wishlist while they await further details.
