Paranormal Activity Game Revealed, Drops First Gameplay Teaser

Paranormal Activity

DreadXP and Paramount Pictures have unveiled the first gameplay teaser for Paranormal Activity: The Game, marking a major milestone for the upcoming horror title. At the helm is The Mortuary Assistant creator Brian Clarke of DarkStone Digital. The project aims to bring the iconic found-footage horror franchise into the interactive realm.

First announced in early 2024, Paranormal Activity: The Game builds on the franchise’s legacy of subtle, camera-based tension and supernatural dread. The teaser offers a glimpse into Clarke’s distinct brand of psychological terror, familiar to fans of The Mortuary Assistant, with fleeting shadows, environmental storytelling, and moments that make players question what they just saw.

Clarke’s breakout 2022 hit, The Mortuary Assistant, earned acclaim for its inventive scares and immersive atmosphere. His involvement will hopefully deliver a similar level of emotional intensity and realism, but this time within the haunted spaces and grainy footage that define Paranormal Activity.

Paranormal Activity

The original Paranormal Activity film (2007) became a global horror phenomenon, inspiring numerous sequels and influencing a generation of filmmakers with a minimalist, home-camera approach to fear. Now, nearly two decades later, the series returns in the form of a game that invites players to step directly into its universe.

Published by DreadXP, known for championing distinctive indie horror, Paranormal Activity: The Game looks to capture the raw anxiety and creeping paranoia that made the films legendary.

No release date has been set yet, but more details will be revealed in the coming months. You can check out the reveal trailer below, and let us know your thoughts.
