Once Human was developed by NetEase Games and was released two years ago. The game first launched on PC before arriving on mobile just last year. To celebrate its second anniversary, the developers will bring the title to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
NetEase Games officially confirmed that Once Human will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on August 25 this year. This console version release introduces a new first-person perspective and supports full cross-play and cross-progression across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox from day one.
It will also include account linking for players who have previously played the game on PC or mobile. The developers further confirmed that players can freely switch between first- and third-person perspectives at any time, with the console release designed to take advantage of larger 4K displays.
Players can choose between Quality and Performance modes. Quality Mode runs at 4K resolution with 60 FPS support, while Performance Mode targets 120 FPS. NetEase Games added that the console release supports keyboard and mouse. The console will not be up to date with the current PC and mobile versions, but will catch up with the progress soon after launch.
