Introducing Resident Evil: The Arklay Horror

I’ve been quiet on the site for a little while now. I’ve been spending most of my time working on a project for you guys. That project is a new original comic book titled Resident Evil: The Arklay Horror.

Written by yours truly and with art by our very own Rourke Keegan, The Arklay Horror is set one year after the events of the Raccoon City outbreak. I’ll be introducing a new town in this story, Orchard. This small town always lived in the shadow of Raccoon City, also neighboring the Arklay Mountains, and you can imagine the terror in its residents as they saw what happened to that city.

The Arklay Horror will bring readers back to the region where the horror started with the release of the original game. I’ll be focusing entirely on all-new characters  in this story (which is shaping up to be 5-6 issues). I don’t want to say too much about the threats our main character, Detective Joel Puente, will face, but readers will see what happened to the Arklay region after the outbreak and Raccoon City’s destruction. Is it free of BOWs? Or is there a new, but familiar, evil rising in the area? You’ll find out pretty early on in the story!

I’m really excited about this project, and I’ve been devoting a lot of my time to it. This is the Resident Evil story I’ve been wanting to tell for a very long time, and it feels good looking at the completed script for the first issue. I hope you all enjoy it! Unfortunately, there’s no concrete release date for this, but I’ll update you guys with one once Rourke and I figure it out.

For now, check out the teaser poster! If you have any questions for me be sure to leave them in the comments below. I’ll try my best to answer without giving away any parts of the story.
