Indie Horror Game ‘Hotel Espir’ Announced, Launches This Halloween

Hotel Espir

This year promises to be an exciting one for indie horror, as unique titles like Cerebral have emerged from developers. Another exciting new game on the horizon is Hotel Espir, the debut title from Lost Souls Interactive.

Hotel Espir is a first-person narrative-driven horror title that focuses on storytelling, atmosphere, and tension to keep fans thrilled, unlike traditional horror, which typically embraces combat.

The game takes place in 1942 Alabama, where players control Charles Lemek as he races to get home in time for the birth of his daughter. It was all fine until he stopped at the eerie Hotel Espir, which changed everything for him and became a nightmare.

The hotel holds a killer who hunts only by sound. To survive, players have to take very calculated steps and move quietly, as their lives depend on it. Not just that, but the players also have to explore the building, solve puzzles,  and find out the truth about the terrifying hotel.

Hotel EspirWhen discussing the title, creative director William Kiley said that they wanted to make the silence as important as the movement, stating:

We wanted to make a horror game where silence is as important as movement. Every sound is a risk. Every step could draw something closer.

Hotel Espir launches on Steam this Halloween. The developers plan to release a playable demo in early 2026.

Stay tuned for more updates. In the meantime, you can check out the announcement trailer below.
