FEED IT is a first-person, PSX-style horror game that was first announced earlier this year in May with a reveal trailer. While the developers didn’t reveal an official release date at the time, they have now confirmed that the game will launch on August 17.
Inspired by psychological horror classics like Silent Hill and Mouthwashing, FEED IT hopes to place its own refreshing spin on the formula that made the genre so popular. This is the debut title from developer Games On A Chair, and the team shared its excitement ahead of the release in an official press statement:
We’ve been pouring so much blood and sweat into this game, and we cannot wait to get it into the players’ hands! It comes from a deeply personal place, and we sincerely hope it will resonate just as deeply with people. That’s our ultimate goal as artists, designers and creators.
In FEED IT, you play as someone trapped inside a house, searching for food to feed a mysterious creature before it grows angry. However, things aren’t as simple as they seem, as the house gradually transforms into a maze the deeper you venture into it.
