Corpse Party: Blood Drive Set for a Bloody July Release in Japan

Corpse Party: Blood Drive, the final chapter to the Heavenly Host Elementary school saga, will be released come this July. The last game in this particular series (Corpse Party 2 being its own separate story on PC), will be Vita exclusive and has not been announced for release outside of Japan.

Famistu reports that Blood Drive will use a 3D “super-deformed” art style for its exploration gameplay, perhaps turning character models into cute little chibis. There will also be CG cutscenes, and the art of Corpse Party manga artist Makoto Kedouin is said to be featured in the game somewhere near the end.

Corpse Party: Blood Drive will be released in Japan on July 24, 2014. By the sounds of it, developers Team GrisGris and 5bp are going all out with this one.

I really hope XSEED picks this up for localization as soon as possible. I can’t wait to see and hear more. In the meantime, I’ll keep playing Danganronpa. Yay gruesome anime deaths!
