#!/willkeeIt seems Lovecraft will strike again, casting a dark spell on Apple handheld devices.
A new Call of Cthulhu game, titled ‘The Wasted Land’, is set to hit iPhone and iPod devices in the new year, on January 30th.
According to the original press release, Red Wasp Design, the indie-game company behind the development of Cthulhu, said they plan to release their title to the iPad, Android and PC devices in the near future.
The Wasted Land is a turn-based strategy RPG game set in the midst of the First World War, pitting a team of soldiers and investigators against an insidious cult intent on using the slaughter of the Great War to open the doors to an invasion of eldritch horrors. The game is co-developed by Chaosium, the U.S. publisher behind the popular tabletop Call of Cthulhu RPG.
New images were also released in light of the confirmed release date.
