BrokenLore: MIKI-CHAN – A Horror Game Where an AI Assistant Turns Into a Dangerous Threat

BrokenLore: MIKI-CHANSerafini Productions has officially announced BrokenLore: MIKI-CHAN, a new first-person psychological horror game where an AI study assistant turns into a jealous and dangerous threat.

If you didn’t know, Miki-chan was first introduced as a character in BrokenLore: DON’T LIE, but this time she takes on a much bigger role as the primary antagonist. Players take control of Kazuaki, a Japanese high school student who is under pressure to pass his university entrance exams. He also wants to impress a girl he likes.

BrokenLore: MIKI-CHAN, a New Psychological Horror Game, Announced for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC

Things begin to change when Kazuaki finds a mysterious USB drive containing Miki-chan, a new AI-powered study assistant. Hoping to improve his grades, he installs the program and begins using it to help with his studies.

At first, Miki-chan appears sweet, supportive, and helpful. However, her behavior soon becomes much darker as she develops a strong obsession with Kazuaki and becomes increasingly jealous. Kazuaki is slowly pulled into a twisted nightmare where reality begins to change around him. Much of the horror takes place inside a simulated school environment controlled by Miki-chan.

Players will gradually lose control as the AI changes and controls the simulation. To fight back and discover what is really happening, players can use a feature called “the Rewriter,” which allows them to change reality.

The game is planned for release sometime in 2027 on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
