Bloober CEO Confirms Silent Hill 2 is in Its Final Stages and Will Debut This Year

Silent Hill 2According to a Twitter post by Will | Horror Game Central, the CEO of Bloober Team, Piotr Babieno, has confirmed some interesting release information regarding the Silent Hill 2 Remake and some of the studio’s other upcoming projects.

During his presentation at the GPW Innovation Day, a meeting of investors with innovative companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange held in Poland, Babieno said:

Silent Hill 2 is in the final stage of work. The title will debut on the market this year. We should see more marketing information soon, including the release date.

Of the 250 employees of the Krakow-based company, 200 are currently working on Silent Hill 2 and a title codenamed Project C. People involved in the final work on Silent Hill 2 will gradually transition to another production, codenamed Project G, which is currently in the pre-production phase.

Another title by Bloober Team, Project H, is in the concept phase and is expected to premiere by 2027. The above-mentioned first-party games are expected to be similar in scale to AAA games.

Speaking about the studio’s other upcoming projects, Babieno said:

We want to work as a first-party studio on two titles at the same time. No more than two, because if we work on more, we will lose quality. Our teams would fight for resources, and this will mean that these projects will not be of the same quality as we would like.

The Silent Hill 2 remake is releasing on PC via Steam and PS5 later this year. We will keep you updated as soon as the game’s release date is announced.
