‘Amy’ bringing post-global warming horrors to the PSN

Let’s start this off with two words: global warming. It’s a topic that has been highly debated for a long time and it’s also stated as being the catalyst for all of our future earth-bound troubles. And who knew it would spawn a survival-horror title from the creator of Flashback and the Moto Racer series.

The upcoming PSN-exclusive title ‘Amy’ will portray a world (in the year 2034) where global warming has already done it’s global damage to humanity. Then, to make matters worse, a comet has crash-landed in the small mid-western town of Silver City, where the main character, Lana, resides. After this catastrophic event, Lana wakes up in the midst of pure utter chaos. People have gone insane, attacking other in hordes, a wide-spread behavior reminiscent of something sprouted by a viral infection. Enter: Amy.

Upon beginning to lose any sense of hope, Lana runs into Amy and it’s this, seemingly, vulnerable girl who ignites Lana’s instinct to push forward and survive. Throughout their journey they will meet and run across ” Infected humans, grisly creatures, Special Forces and even other survivors”. This all sounds like the basic building blocks for a co-op oriented survival horror title and we’re pretty excited to hear more about this game as it gets closer to its Q2 2011 release.
