Alien: Isolation 2 Debut Trailer Introduces New Protagonist and Xenomorph Return

Alien: Isolation 2

Alien: Isolation became a massive hit when it was launched in 2014. Following a huge demand for its sequel, Creative Assembly officially announced it back in 2024, though very little was revealed since.

Earlier this year, the developers dropped a teaser trailer for Alien: Isolation 2, but said trailer offered only a brief glimpse of what to expect. Finally, during Summer Game Fest 2026, which took place yesterday, we got our first proper reveal trailer featuring a new protagonist and a more unpredictable experience than initially expected.

Alien: Isolation 2

Although Alien: Isolation 2 will feature a new protagonist, setting, and story, the developers claim they remain committed to the intense survival-horror experience that made the first game a major hit. The return of the iconic Xenomorph is confirmed, and it once again hunts down players throughout gameplay.

The trailer starts with someone speaking Japanese, stating that the player made an expensive mistake, something the company rarely forgives. As the YouTube trailer’s title suggests, this is apparently the last chance.

While the trailer itself provides little context, the Steam description reveals that a survey team discovered the crashed vessel, and one of its members, possibly our protagonist, decided to investigate it.

Nothing much has been disclosed about the new protagonist, but it won’t be Amanda Ripley, the protagonist of the original title. Creative Assembly has remained silent on a release date, so we will have to wait and see. However, Alien: Isolation 2 is currently available to wishlist on PC via Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles.
