The very first game that I played at PAX East was Dead Island Riptide. Deep Silver’s second entry (but not Dead Island 2) to the Dead Island series is host to some improvements over its predecessor–most notably its increased fluidity with its controls and menus.
The first Dead Island had a lot of potential that felt held back by tech issues. Thankfully it appears that Dead Island Riptide will be the the polished Dead Island game after having feedback from the community and tweaking of its engine.
