Nintendo put on quite a show recently. Many interesting announcements were made at Nintendo Direct, as well as rumors being confirmed that had been going around. One of which was the release of the Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 4 remakes, which are coming to Switch 2 in soon. The release will also include all DLC and post-launch content.
Following the success of the Resident Evil VII and Village ports, and the no less impressive Resident Evil Requiem, Capcom is going all out with the three that were missing from its latest console. Best of all, there isn’t long to wait, as the digital versions are set to launch on October 16.
From what we see in the below trailer for the Resident Evil 2, 3 and 4 remakes, we can expect faithful ports with features very much in line with previous RE games: good-looking graphics and a frame rate of 60 fps, at least for 2 and 3. We’ll have to see how RE4 performs.
The games are already available to pre-order on the Nintendo eShop at a discount ahead of release. Prices are currently noted as:
- Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition: $39.99 ($29.99 until November 8)
- Resident Evil 3: $29.99 ($19.79 until November 8)
- Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition: $49.99 ($39.99 until November 8)
Physical editions, meanwhile, will arrive on January 29, 2027. At the time of writing, it’s not known whether Capcom will also release a bundle containing all three games together. However, judging by the digital prices, it appears that each will be sold separately.
